ITINERARIES

ONE DAY TRIP / 6 DESTINATION

This full-day trip runs from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, covering six destinations by speed boat. Highlights include enjoying the stunning views from the peak of Padar Island, swimming at the beautiful Pink Beach, seeing the historical Komodo dragons, snorkeling with Manta rays and turtles, and more.

PADAR ISLAND

Padar Island is one of the most iconic destinations in Indonesia, famous for its dramatic and unique panoramic views. The island is part of Komodo National Park in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

PINK BEACH

Pink Beach isn't just a beautiful spot for photos; it also offers fantastic marine experiences:

Snorkeling and Diving: The surrounding waters are renowned for their abundant marine biodiversity. You can spot healthy coral reefs, thousands of species of fish, sea turtles, and occasionally even manta rays at nearby spots.

Relaxation: The soft sand is ideal for sunbathing or simply enjoying the colorful contrast between the pink sand, the turquoise sea, and the green hills.

KOMODO NATIONAL PARK

Komodo National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located within the Lesser Sunda Islands archipelago in Indonesia, nestled between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores.

Established in 1980, the National Park was initially intended to protect the Komodo Dragon (Varanus komodoensis), the world's largest lizard species, which is found nowhere else on Earth but in this region.

TAKA MAKASSAR ISLAND

Taka Makassar is one of the most iconic and unique hidden gems within Komodo National Park, East Nusa Tenggara.Technically, Taka Makassar is not an island, but rather a spectacular sandbar—or an accumulation of pristine sand—that emerges in the middle of the sea.

Unique Geographical Features

The geographical beauty of Taka Makassar is defined by three exceptional characteristics:

Ephemeral Sandbar: Taka Makassar is an extremely small sandbar, even smaller than a football field. It only emerges from the sea's surface at low tide. During high tide, most or all of this fragile strip of sand becomes submerged underwater.

Iconic Crescent Shape: The sand formation is distinctively shaped like a perfect crescent moon, which adds dramatically to its visual appeal.

Stunning Color Palette: Its main draw is the incredible color contrast. The soft white sand (often featuring a delicate pinkish hue from crushed red coral fragments) is surrounded by crystal-clear, shallow turquoise waters. This breathtaking view, especially when seen from above (like in drone photos), has made it incredibly popular, earning it the nickname "the Maldives of Indonesia.

MANTA POINT

Manta Point, also known by the local name Karang Makassar, is one of the world's most renowned diving and snorkeling sites, located within the spectacular Komodo National Park.

This location is a prime attraction because it offers a rare and consistent opportunity to encounter and interact with large numbers of Manta Rays.

Primary Attractions of Manta Point

1. The Manta Ray Gathering Hub

Manta Point's popularity stems from its dual role in the manta ray ecosystem:

Cleaning and Feeding Station: Manta Point is a shallow area characterized by strong, nutrient-rich currents. These currents deliver plankton, the manta rays' primary food source, making the location an ideal feeding spot. Additionally, there are "cleaning stations" where the manta rays congregate to allow smaller fish to remove parasites from their skin.

Species and Size: The species most frequently sighted here is the Reef Manta Ray (Mobula alfredi), though the larger Oceanic Manta Ray (Mobula birostris) can also be observed. The mantas here typically have an average wing span of 3 to 5 meters.

2. Activities and Experience

World-Class Snorkeling: Because the area is relatively shallow, typically around 10 to 15 meters (33 to 50 feet), you can often see the majestic manta rays gracefully gliding right from the water's surface. This makes it an exceptional snorkeling destination.

Scuba Diving: Certified divers can descend to observe the mantas' unique behaviors up close, watching them soar against the current or patiently wait at the cleaning stations.

SIABA ISLAND

Siaba Island is a must-visit hidden gem in Komodo National Park, famously known as "Turtle City" due to its abundant and easily-sighted population of sea turtles.

Technically, Siaba is divided into two distinct sites: Siaba Besar (Big Siaba) and Siaba Kecil (Small Siaba), each offering a unique underwater experience tailored to different skill levels.

The trip runs from 8:00 AM to approximately 1:20 PM.We'll start with a 25-minute drive to Rangko Village. From there, we'll take a boat to explore the beautiful Rangko Cave and visit a snorkeling spot. In the late afternoon, we'll enjoy the sunset from Amelia Hill before concluding the tour.

RANGKO CAVE

Goa Rangko (Rangko Cave) is a truly unique hidden gem near Labuan Bajo, Flores Island. This cave is famous for containing a stunning, crystal-clear natural saltwater pool that glows with a mesmerizing crystalline blue hue.

Unlike most conventional caves, Goa Rangko offers visitors the extraordinary experience of swimming in a tranquil, underground "private swimming pool." It is a popular half-day trip option from Labuan Bajo for tourists looking to explore beyond the attractions of Komodo National Park.

TORO BOLENG

Located within the Tanjung Boleng area, this beach is well-known as a serene spot for snorkeling and peaceful water recreation. Its crystal-clear waters are teeming with marine life, making it the perfect escape for travelers seeking tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of Labuan Bajo.

Activities here include: Snorkeling, swimming, and simple relaxation.

AMELIA HILL

Amelia Hill (often referred to as Amelia Sea View or Bukit Amelia Sea) is one of the most popular land attractions in Labuan Bajo, Flores Island. It is renowned as a premier viewpoint for enjoying spectacular ocean vistas and breathtaking sunsets.

Spectacular Panoramic Views

From the summit of the hill, you're treated to a captivating 360-degree vista. This breathtaking scenery includes:

  • The expansive, deep blue waters of the Flores Sea.

  • Unique formations of dry rolling hills (often compared to the "Teletubbies" hills).

  • Numerous small, picturesque islands dotted in the distance (such as Seraya and Bidadari Islands).

The Ultimate Sunset Spot

This hill is highly regarded as one of the best locations in Labuan Bajo to witness the sunset (rivaling viewpoints closer to the town center). The golden light that bathes the surrounding hills and ocean as the sun dips below the horizon creates an incredibly romantic and stunning atmosphere perfect for photography.

Sunset Trip Pick-up at your hotel is at 4:10 AM. We'll then take a 30-minute drive to Waraloka Village. From there, a 15-minute wooden boat ride will take us to Kalong Island to enjoy the sunset and see thousands of flying foxes (bats). The return trip will conclude around 7:30 PM.

KALONG ISLAND

Kalong Island (or Pulau Kalong) is a unique and essential destination near Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara. This small island is famous for a magnificent natural phenomenon: the mass migration of thousands of giant fruit bats (flying foxes) at sunset.

The name "Kalong" literally translates to bat in the local language, and the island truly lives up to its name, serving as home to a massive colony of giant fruit bats.

Kalong Island's main draw isn't its white-sand beaches or snorkeling spots, but rather the incredible natural performance that unfolds at dusk. As the sun begins to set:

  • Thousands of flying foxes that have been resting in the thick mangrove forest throughout the day begin to take flight simultaneously.

  • They form dramatic silhouettes against the orange sky, soaring in a continuous stream toward other islands within the Komodo National Park to forage for food.

  • This scene creates a profoundly photogenic and unforgettable moment for visitors.

  • The most popular Kalong Island is located near Rinca Island, making it relatively close to Labuan Bajo (about a 1 to 2-hour boat ride).

You can only access the island by booking a boat tour from Labuan Bajo.
